In May 2015, our director Elizabeth Jinzo was nominated to be a recipient of the 2015 Small Business Award for the Los Angeles Latino Chamber of Commerce. She was nominated in recognition of her outstanding leadership and commitment in addressing the needs of loved ones who have a developmental disability.
Her display of hard work and tenacity have further augmented the success of D.E.S.I. Upon establishment, D.E.S.I. was ran from a home office; today the organization has two headquartered offices.
In addition to her work, Elizabeth Jinzo is deeply committed to her clients, their families, and the community. Our families have commended Mrs. Jinzo for being more than a businesswoman, and acknowledge her investment in the success of her clients. The communities have also acknowledged her commitments and efforts thus presenting her with various certificates from local senators. Her work ethic is conveyed through her staff and volunteers who are even more so excited to be involved in the organization and community.
It was an honor for Mrs. Jinzo to be considered for such a prestigious award. She will continue to be devoted to her work and serve as a role model for the community.
